Mammary duct ectasia is when a milk duct in the breast becomes blocked and clogged up with fluid. It is not a serious condition and does not increase a person's risk of breast cancer. However, it may cause pain, tenderness, and swelling, and it can sometimes lead to an infection called mastitis. Learn more here.
